Silvina B. Niccum was born in Rosario, Argentina, and raised in Buenos Aires.  Her family immigrated to the US when she was fourteen.  She attended the University of Utah and studied Spanish Literature.  Silvina now lives in San Diego, CA., with her husband and her three children.

The Rest of the Story
If you had asked me in elementary school in Argentina what I wanted to be, I would have proudly shown you my self-published, self-stapled books and said, "Author." But my family's move to the United States during high school brought new challenges and dimmed those literary dreams for a while. I studied Spanish Literature in college, but paused my degree to raise a family. Stories, however, found a way out—this time in English. Writing The Veiled trilogy became my creative lifeline during the days of parenting and homeschooling. My fourth novel, Indigo, was honored with a Benjamin Franklin Independent YA Book Silver Medal, judged by librarians nationwide—a much-needed boost to my confidence and motivation. Now, with my children grown, I am back in school and back to writing, ready to embrace new chapters as both a student and an author. Resilience, adaptability, and a passion for storytelling continue to shape my journey, fueling both my personal and professional growth.
